The National Trust is gearing up to commemorate the very best of British here in Northamptonshire with preparations already underway at local houses, gardens, parklands and countryside places joining in the Jubilee celebrations.

Northampton, 12th April 2012: Northampton Museum & Art Gallery, home to the world’s leading collection of shoe heritage, is to be officially reopened today following a major refurbishment project totalling £310,000. For images from the collection please click here.

'Cottesbrooke Hall’s Head Gardener Phylip Statner will be conducting FREE tours of the garden at the NGS open day on the 15th April.

Last year saw several thousand people enjoy this long weekend where the whole village steps back in time to the war years. The Home Guard, the women's land army, the Fire Service, the Americans, the lovely Lola Lamour - all were there. And this year's even promises even more!

Take an illuminated boat trip on the Grand Union Canal, sing along to Christmas carols with the children of Stoke Bruerne C. of E. Primary School, and watch the grand prize giving for our best illuminated boat competition.
